Welcome to Delta Colts website.
Delta Colts were formed in late 1999 by a small group of parents who had become disillusioned with junior football elsewhere, and decided to form their own club and try and bring some fun back into the game for their sons. From that early start with our 5 boys, the club has grown rapidly to somewhere in the region of 200 youngsters. This season we have under 7s, under 8s, under 9s, under 10s, under 11s, under 12s under 13s, under 14s and under 15s, as well as 7 girls teams and an open age ladies team.
We are a recognised F.A. Charter Standard Club. We were the first club in Cheshire to receive this award and we must try and maintain the standards the F.A. require from us. This year we are hoping to gain development club status.
Most managers at the club hold an F.A. level 1 coaching qualification, and any new manager/coach will be expected to gain the same. All managers are trained in basic first aid, and most importantly, all have attended courses on the child protection act. All Managers/coaches have been checked against the child protection database list held by the police. (The police check is required by the F.A. for all clubs who are Charter marked.)
